YOUR FIRST CLASS IS FREE!!

Eye of the Nile now offers belly dance instruction. We are extending this invitation to you to join millions of other women in the pursuit of health, wellbeing, physical fitness, increased energy, and heightened sensuality found in the ages-old tradition of Middle Eastern “Belly dance.” For centuries women have come together to perfect their dancing arts thereby establishing them in special, esteemed classes within their societies.

You now have the chance to enjoy this tradition at the Eye of the Nile dance studio in the Cumberland Area! We are offering class instruction in a friendly, all-female, supportive, and exclusive environment. Our classes will be small enough to give you the attention you deserve, but large enough for you to take part in the environment that is “belly dancing.”

What to Wear to Class

Anything that is comfortable and you can move in (except jeans) is acceptable. You do not have to bare your belly if you don’t want to! You can wear broom skirts, yoga pants, leotards, harem pants, t-shirts, tank tops, midriffs, etc. Most dancers prefer being barefoot, but ballet slippers, soft sole dance shoes, or Isotoner slippers are alright. Part of the fun of a belly dance class is dressing up!

What You Will Need for Class

All that you will need to get started is your smiling face and a veil. There will be veils available for purchase at the studio for $15.00 or you can make your own. The veils should be a nice, light, flowy material like chiffon or silk. You will need 3 yards of the material and all sides should be hemmed. For your convenience, we will not start using veils until a few weeks into class.
